Xtrocious 1st Gear October 7, 2010 Share October 7, 2010 a limit on 3rd party coverage - is it allowed under the laws? that there are time bombs running on SG roads manufactured by DirectAsia whereby any wrongdoing by their insureds, the receiving party may end up with insufficient recourse to have their damage reimbursed. Frankly, S$5k is worryingly too small to cover for vehicle repair costs, leave alone to sufficiently reimburse the medical costs, loss of future earnings in the case of disability and dead claims. Wow............... I think you got me wrong... It's damage to 3rd party property, which is separate from car For example, you go and knock into someone's house, wall or public property... Otherwise, vehicle and medical claim is unlimited I think But you need to tag options to cover your own medical claim, loss of use of car etc
Xtrocious 1st Gear October 7, 2010 Share October 7, 2010 dead claims is unlimited i saw... and disability also damn high...tink 500k etc... wad i see is their approved workshop is some charp-palang WS. seepeh scared Actually there is an option to choose your own workshop for an additonal fee

Juzzme 3rd Gear October 11, 2010 Share October 11, 2010 DA also gave me the lowest quote. However, one of their staff called me and said they checked and found out that i had a 'claim' in the last year and need to add $200 more to the quote. The 'claim' in question was for windscreen replacement (which did not incur any ncd deduction or excess based on my insurance policy then). was like....wth ?? windscreen also considered 1 claim ? Is this the industry norm ?? Decided in the end to go for aviva although it costs slightly more. Just didn't feel comfortable with them.

Kb27 Supersonic October 11, 2010 Share October 11, 2010 This year I pay $580 with RSA. Coming renewal, they want $696. Got a quote from DA and it's back to $587. It's hard to resist going to DA. Why pay more? Every year I get penalized for someone else's accidents.
