AT boxes without manual control, automatic transmission is usually done at low speed or less than WOT, so it has all the delay in the low range without trying the extra power in the exclusive. I think 3.8-liter V6 is the best example, a change in an open capsule led to gains a good reputation 15ish BHP.

aftermarket air intakes.....biggest con around

car mnfs arent idiots and intakes are dead easy to design. do you really think some tiny aftermarket part supplier knows better than car engine designers the needs of a CAI?

On a stock car changing the CAI in 99% of cases provides zero gains. Its all BS.

The only time a custom or modified CAI may be warranted is if its NECESSITATED by other mods that INCREASE the massflowrate through the engine

In other words unless fitting a highflow header or forced induction etc the stock intakes already enable more than sufficient flowrates.

You could use the biggest lowest restriction intake in the world but at the end of the day

What an engine can 'sucks' in depends on what it can 'blow' out.

To use the analogy someone used earlier - put two straws in your mouth. breathe in through one and breathe out through the other. You can make the 'inlet' straw as big as you like but you wont be able to increase your breathing rate unless you increase the size of the 'outlet' straw.

in otherwords reducing CAI pressure drop wont do sh1t unless you reduce pressure losses in exhaust system (or increase pressure by using forced induction)

If you do increase the size of your 'outlet' straw then increasing the size of the inlet straw will see benefits. And this is the only time a aftermarket CAI is going to give you any gains.

A magazine can also Tsi 60bhp tuning alone, without a mod, and is set to reflash from Germany, probably not until the R & D is important for a good tuner, the source is equally important. Owner personally think that the $ $ to good use so the 12h of hard work.

For me running on open pod but depends on the mod you made to ur ride to counter low end loss. For my case additional voltage stabiliser, CAI and exhaust. Made my ride faster compared to stock while FC remains the same as stock else better slightly. Initially thinking of heat shield intake but deem unnecessary as no apparent low end loss.

what's your ride?

Currrently using Drop-In Filter...Did toy with the idea of Open Pod but afraid on losing Low End....
