Beregond Supersonic October 7, 2010 Share October 7, 2010 what ts encounter i can only say its bad luck, nothing to do with how much he pay, ( he did not even mention how much he pay for the ows 3 in 1 ). to all the bro/sis out there who think u pay peanuts = bad service , U ARE VERY WRONG. and most importantly paying high price or going to agent DOES NOT = good service also . its a matter of finding a good workshop ( like gems) but look at the bright side of the view, its a good learning experience for ts, at least he is concern about his car, and he is observing while they service his car. maybe next time he can chat with the ws, ask them how they do their servicing, understand abit more about their product b4 buying ↡ Advertisement
Contax 1st Gear October 7, 2010 Share October 7, 2010 some wksp bought the engine oil in barrel and then use empty bottle to pour the oil into the engine .Or the bottle was mixed with the left over from previous car . i.e 5L bottle but uses only 3L . Jamesc Hypersonic October 7, 2010 Share October 7, 2010 I wouldn't add any additives to my oil. The WS did the TS a favour.
Moredhel 2nd Gear October 7, 2010 Share October 7, 2010 I wouldn't add any additives to my oil. The WS did the TS a favour. I added before. In actuality, it did improve the performance of the engine. I had a smoother and quieter running engine, along with better fuel consumption. However, thats before I found out that the additive contained a certain chemical that while does lubricate the engine parts better, causes minute corrosion to the engine. Over time this would become a big problem. Not to mention adverse effect to the seals and gaskets. That said, I would not mind adding it when my car has 1 year left to go to exploit the better FC and scrap the car thereafter. However, my additive is definitely not OWS. To me OWS is a below average EO with below average additives, mostly from bulk stocks and a bomb spent on marketing, which you are paying for. Jamesc Hypersonic October 12, 2010 Share October 12, 2010 The only additive I ever used is 1 bottle of redline 5-40 engine oil. I added it to 2 litres of ELF 5-30. Technically redline is not an additive but I use it as an additive.

Ithunk 1st Gear September 18, 2011 Share September 18, 2011 Just done a servicing with CL Garage @Blk 5035 Ang Mo Kio Ind. Park 2 #01-369. Let me share my lousy experience below:- Selected the Multilight OWS package which comes with Performance 3 in 1, and iridium spark plug. After the engine flush and old oil drained, when the mechanic was about to pour the new engine oil in, noticed that the bottle was already opened, sticker was very worned out, and the bottle was very dirty, my impression was the bottle was re-use and starts to wonder if the engine in it, was OWS or not... Then he told me everything was done. I asked the boss, Eric if he had added the injector cleaner and the velcosity stabliser, he said he will do it later, and I proceed to make payment. When we walked out, he told me I can drive off. I was puzzled and asked him what about the last 2 bottles? He told me already poured in, together with the engine oil. Which was b-------t as I was standing there the whole time and didn't see it! He then told me that he had pre-mixed with the engine oil to save time?!?! I asked him to show me where the bottles are and he can only show me the engine flush, he couldn't show me the other 2 bottles... I was very furious and walked away, thinking back I should have insisted on a refund on the last 2 bottles of addictives, but I guess it's too late now. Worst thing is I'm not sure what type of oil is in my engine now... Not cooking oil I hope! Felt really cheated and just wanna advice all bros to avoid this shop at all costs. jus get your own engine oil

Kb27 Supersonic September 18, 2011 Share September 18, 2011 UPPPZZZ for awareness OWS do come in 20L container. Maybe the workshop is dispensing it out into smaller pourable container, which may be what you saw. Mechanics hands are usually dirty, so don't expect the container to look clean after being handled. I just didn't know how to react at that particular point of time. Lesson learnt, just wanna warn other bros of this screwed up workshop. Uppzzzz again!! Not sure if this workshop is still around? Bluecar, I can relate yr experiences, move on and be smarter next time, my 2ct cent, generally car nowaday do not need additives for car, they are good enough to last, once you do that, your car becomes addictive, like ciggies ( die die must smoke,if not can die ), EO is at yr discretion, it does not necessarily means higher c.c needs branded & reliable EO,once bi-monthly pull a dip stick and test the thickness of the oil and observe the color, too dark speaks a lot abut yr car and yr driving, the rest are ok. Happy driving ! ↡ Advertisement
