The problem Not why people don't want to bid for the coe themselves.

The Problem is car buyers in Singapore are mostly poor. They DONT have the $10,000 cash to even bid for the coe themselves!

That is the main reason why they allow car dealers to bid for them, so that they can just downpayment $1 and take ten years loan!!!

Why not take a holiday to Germany and order a BWM and shipped it back to Singapore?

Its definately at least $50k cheaper compared from buying from PI. Or at least $80k cheaper compared from buying from PML?

 

In fact lets not talk about Car COE, which are expensive.

 

We should be talking about MOTORCYCLE Coe for more realistic argument.

 

The bike COE is only $1500. Yet most motorcycle buyers also DONT have the money to self bid for themselves already. Or area lazy to self bid the COE for themselves.

COE take loan, pay bit by bit, heart no pain.

 

put $30,000 cash in 50 dollars notes onto AD's table, heart, head & balls will bleed.

Try buying from bike shop w/o COE, see if they sell you and at what price. Sama sama as cars.

For bikes I am very sure the dealer did not play punk like most car AD does.

 

Meaning bike price + COE price = OTR price without ins. No tricks or jacked up base bike price!

 

Actually, the whole package will be cheaper by around $100 if I self bid for my own bike COE as the transfer fee will be unnecessary!
