what does remapping the ecu do?

 

i know its changing the ignition maps, but do you get to revert to stock ignition mapping if you need to?

 

and what kind of tunability are you going to get out of a remap on your car? or is it just upload the map, and thats it?

Its more than just ignition. Its ignition maps, fuel maps, injector phasing etc.....

 

ECU remapping is like flashing computer mainboard. You update the firmware. If you need to revert back just flash back to stock settings.
