Will your work permit be forfeited?

I have a Malaysian friend who is working in Singapore with a working permit.

He recently committed a crime (not a serious offence) and was given a jail term of 3 months (in fact, it should be a FINE case, but the court he went to has a judge who is famous for putting people to jail, bad luck).

Do you think his work permit will be forfeited?

Usually jail term, work permit will be revoked. Not many pple can be as lucky as Christopher Lee who committed a crime and yet still can continue to work in mediacorpse!

My colleague last time went in for 14 days. Right after the jail term, they sent him to Woodlands custom and tell him don't come back.

Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
