anybody knows the difference btw keyless go vs keyless entry

or do they come together.

eg. the new PI e class, doesnt come with keyless go, but apparently comes with keyless entry.

does keyless entry means just pull door handle to unlock?

if im not wrong,

keyless entry: enter door by pressing the small rubber button on the door handle to unlock (doesnt even require pressing of remote, only require remote in ur pocket or within a specific radius)

keyless go: means push start button, if key is in ur pocket and u are in driver seat, push onto the brake pedal, press push start button to start engine.

for mercedes benz new e-class, the remote is not the conventional key, its shaped weirdly but still can slot into a weirder keyhole in the car cabin, meaning no keyless go, still need to slot in key / remote and turn.

but should have option for keyless go, probably higher variants, not sure

actually this techonology is miost suitable for ladies that put the key in tthe hand bag, the reason why they shape it so weidly, is 1stly because of looks,

2ndly did u notice that you put the car key in your pocket for long, it will damamge your pocket?

3rdly, 1 key cost over $300++ and if u lost it, the onyl way is to buy back from dealer haha.

if your car dont have the start stop button, u will need to insert the key into the key hole, and cant just press start and go.

except for KM, their definition of keyless entry means 'open the door without using the key, i.e. remote key, not rubber button on door handle'

Yes. My jazz also considered keyless entry.

Meaning you hold the key in your hand, press the key black button to unlock the door.

Open the door, insert the metal key, twist to start and go.

What is so keyless about that.

The true keyless is in Lexus and BMW.

You just Hold the door handle and it unlocks! No need to press any black buttons. Then you step brake, and push start button to start engine. All the while the keys in your bag.

Press button to stop engine, open and close door. Touch the handle again to lock the car before you walk away!

Now that is true keyless!

Of course there are aftermarket totally keyless retrofit as well.

Where you just have the transponder in your pocket, the door wil unlock and lock when you walk near or walk away.
