Hi u are? If you mean Miki rather than Mike.....then yeah.

U are partly right... my dad's the buyer. I become the person maintaining it though......hahahaha

Couldn't remember the details liao. Tempting price but couldn't live with the 2.5L road tax and higher insurance. End up with an auto Altezza RS200 instead. I guess the insurance pple were like huh??? 2L alt...what? ... end up paying insurance of 2L 4 door jap sedan :)

I thought it is Mik ... nice chap. One of the nicer used car salesperson (boss come to think of it) I came across.

But I do not know anything about Ford. May I ask ask are parts for this model difficult to find? Also any workshop for major stuff besides AD to recommend?

Sorry to Hijack thread cause I too new to post New Thread.

Any guys think this worth to buy or should I stick to a normal jap sedan....

Already 8 years old, problems may be coming in soon, spare parts for this model are expensive & rare...many parts need to 'airfright' in.

Yes worth to buy and parts are easy to get. The spare part shop who specialist in Ford parts is at Desker Road, Hoover Auto.

You save a huge amount buying this car vs the Japanese 2.5L. So even with repairs, you already saved upfront. Japanese car also need repair at this age.

This Mondeo 2.5V6 is looking at $5K annual depreciation while say a Mark X 2.5V6 is looking at $10K. Every year save extra $5K.

Hoover only stock common parts now like oil filter, air filter etc,i knew the boss well,he told me these Ford cars are getting lesser & lesser, almost all older cars already scrapped, not bringing in the older Ford parts anymore...to stock & wait for customers to buy...anyway this MK3 Ford Mondeo, esp the V6 model only got less than 20 cars around, more rare than Rolls Royce Ghost.

If factory got stock,it will take about 10-14 working days,if no stock, they will see can use a newer model's replacement part or not.....if nothing can replace with any other part, then it is scrapyard route.

Sorry I think this is a bit out of topic but I'm just curious... How come Ford is parked under "American Talk" and not "Conti Talk"?

Ford is now moving towards a global concept where the same cars are produced and supplied all over the world.

And if you guys realised, the previous version of Ford Focus ST is the Europe version.

Ford is an America Company.

However, at one stage, Singapore Ford are produced by Mazda Japan, so Japanese Ford.

As Singapore is RHS as UK and Australia, most of the newer model are for UK market (make in Europe).

The mondeo mk3 was produced in Belgium up to the current model, and so it's more of a conti as those sold in usa are from Mexico with different specs I think.
