Was introduced to this movie by a friend. Initially I was skeptical about how good would a Bollywood movie be. Having seen how impressive Slum Dog was I catch the move - 3 idiots and I would say it is very good. Should not miss it and I thought of recommending it to all to watch the movie....

Hindi movie. Aamir Khan, Madhavan and some other guys. Oh, and the chick is Kareena Kapoor. The campus in 3 Idiots is a parody of IIT (which has very high standards, considered the MIT of India - in fact many MIT freshmen can't make the cut on the IIT-entrance exam. Quite a few IIT grads end up getting headhunted into top Silicon Valley companies).

 

Nice songs, nice story, interesting ending (believe it or not, this sort of thing actually happens in India, where the rich can get away with many things - I suppose the same can be said of our place, hehe. But in the end, the jerk gets his comeuppance).

 

BTW, the speech scene where they sabo the guy is extremely funny if you know some Hindi - lucky I had my wife translate for me.

Another bollywood movie I would like to recommend is "My name is Khan". Anyone here watched before?

 

The movie about an autistic (Asperger's) guy, right? Then the tragedy, etc. OK, but not as nice as 3 idiots.

 

Here's a nice true irony about that movie - "Khan" is about a Muslim seeking acceptance in post-9/11 America despite his name and religion ("My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist"). But when the actor (Sharukh Khan) playing the titular role went to the US to do the filming, he was detained because of his name! Haha yea that asperger's syndrome guy. I think his acting is superb. WTF man just because of his name?! [furious]

one of the best hindi movie i've seen

something refreshing compare to other hindi movie

i was a few times already and still not get bored

 

my favourite seen where the lead actor was ask to leave the class after he explain to the professor the meaning of machine

he turn around babling something to the professor in a long winded terms

but in fact he just need his books;p

 

an indian movie i shall say Lagaan

a superb story about cricket game between British and the locals
