Inflation is at least 5% per year for the last few years......very tough for tan chiat people like us

then we are more jia liat liao.

 

really dont like our current gahmen. keep pushing for GDP and cause inflation to go up up.

They want to show results and figures to the whole world so that people can continue to come and invest. BUT at the expense of us citizens.

Almost confirmed we'll be like you since slowdown this half - 2 consecutive years of freeze.

Bloody tough on everyone.

 

 

but i guarantee you. Gahmen minister going to get pay raise because of growth in GDP <_<

I amin construction ...... one of the worst industry for 10 years since1998. Most people earned about the same salaty for that period unless promoted. Last few years since about 2006 increment about 2-3% per annum.

 

Not to mention retrenched 4 times in 10 years. And 50% salary cut in 1998

 

Thats why construction mostly foreigners [laugh] Singaporean cannot tahan

Don't understand all these financial stuff. How would 3.3% inflation affect prices of say, a light bulb? Or a cupboard? Or anything else for that matter?

 

Will it be a 3.3% increase in price across the board? Would it mean my Old Chang Kee karipok will now cost around $1.25? In any case, I take it as bad news...

No lah. :D

 

Instead of seeing price increase you will most likely see quality and service shrinkage. Like the kali pok used to have some hard boil egg in it but now maybe no more or less kantang or size shrink, price remains.

I worked in my current IT company for 3 years liao... Pay freeze. Don't even have 13th month AWS. Just first year got 1/2 month bonus. That's all.... nbz. Anyway, for IT, got job tao chio liao...

I every year tighten my own belt and up my employees salary by 10% - 15% + bonus, so how can you be more jialat?
