Lol.... mine is old Toyota..... People own BMW, Porsche and GTRs.... You telling me these people understand the life of poor people? You must be joking.....

There are also people that have to budget carefully just to ride the bus...you just have a victim mentality, so you deserve all the bad things that happen to you.

Someone like you is the soft Singaporean that will never be happy, will always have a complaint. You own a Cayman, will complain its not a GT3, drive at Sepang will complain its not Monza...

can eat sharks fin soup but will complain dun have Buddah Jump Over Wall to go with it...

In short you are just a whiner who doesn't know how to contribute, and the thing is, even your whines can't be original, you have to filch from somewhere else.

Btw, these are the cruel people we are importing.....

Dont feel worry, there are good and bad people that always exist. If these cruel people commits crimes, catch them and send them to jail. I am sure these bad apples are belong to the minorities.

Yesterday i went to a chinese steamboat restaurant.

2 different sets of PRC talking loudly about getting PR in SG already.

They also said no way they giving up their citizenship and settling in SG.

Just here to earn the $$$ and retire back in their homeland.

Why do we stand by our government until this age when we have become a first world country, simply to let these people reap the benefits ?

This is how I feel :

I am not sure of exact definition of second gen PR either, but just a thought for you...

So what if PR just earn money then go back home. While they are here, aren't they contributing to the success of Singapore, don't they pay taxes, participate in the economy? And those really top quality ones that do stuff like teach at uni, researchers etc etc - aren't they contributing to the development of Singapore and the IP that is Singapore owned? Then if they really do go back when they earn enough - isn't that better? Then they don't clog the hospitals etc (assuming go back when get older and more inform so consume proportionally more healthcare etc)

And if people really do break bond - they can never step into Singapore again right? Which (to me anyway) is a very major problem, however you will always get such cases - there are also, I am sure, cases of Singaporeans that siam NS, run off after education (subsidised by govt) never to come back right?

I believe there are Singaporeans who are posted to countries in China, Malaysia, Indonesia and etc, would they after working in overseas need to take up citizenships in china, malaysia and etc? If not, they are not welcome to work in overseas because they surely get a "big" package when they are posted overseas. How the China people feel if a Singaporeans posted to China and take up a big expatriate package while the Ching-Hua university graduates just take may be 20% of what the "Singapore expatriates" earning?

:D

So FT are your convenient scape goat? I heard that looking for someone else to blame was a Singaporean trait, but I have never really seen it in the last ten years...except for now of course...

Anything else you want to blame FT for while you are at it?

Frankly, I am sure that it is a common problem the world over. I really don't know about the immigration policy of other countries - except for a little about how New Zealand was around 10 years ago (policies do change).

Back then, companies were free to hire FT but first they had to "justify" or "prove" that there were no local candidates that could do the job, and by the guidelines, the salary was not enough (eg...if FT was $1,000 but local was $2,000 were still expected to hire the local and the FT not get permit).

PR is New Zealand is far more transparent than here - it is (or was) based on a points system, and further, PR in NZ have the same benefits (pretty much) to citizens, I know there is far less distinction than there is here.

In case you don't know, long before flood gates were opened, cruelty to animals is a rarely heard/seen in SG. Now, its so frequent..... Singaporeans suddenly become cruel towards animals?

They blame FT comes here and takes up all the jobs with lower salaries. Then, i hear lots of complaints that their ministers is earning high salaries. Guess, the minister job have to let FT to take over since FT willing to accept lower package. How contradict? [laugh]
