I've never say PR and FT are cause of inflated COE, neither have I pushed the blame - if I have, quote me on that....so get your facts right

I am saying there should be a differentiation in car ownership in Singapore - because cars take up space, and space is what Singapore do not have.

Say if only 10% of cars on road are owned by PRs and foreigners reasonably (which seems to be more, given that there is so many PRs and FTs in this forum and replying to this thread), if this policy decreases the demand or growth by overall 2-3% a year, it may vastly improve the road condition.

And if there is not significant PRs and foreigners owning cars, then you have nothing to worry about if there is such differentiation implemented.

but you've blamed the FT/PR for increasing car population on our roads....???

Provided you and I have a chance to vote and not some walkover [laugh]

If first place, are you even a Singaporean? Difficult to determine nowadays, because almost 1 in 3 people everywhere in Singapore are not Singaporeans.....

good question. you sound more like a spy over the causeway trying to ruins the balance of singapore.

look here. If you are a true blue singaporean, you will know that we dont reject foreign talent. We welcome the competition. but we dont welcome foreign thrash to take our place with lower pay.

You?? just upright dont want foreigner.

So you agree that majority of car owners are Singaporeans and yet you find it convenient to punish PR/FT for owning cars....

Don't use the word 'we' as if you are a Singaporean....and I do not reject foreign talent, if they are really talent. But when push comes to shove, citizen comes first. If there is no more space on the road, their vehicles should be first taken off the road.

Please do so, they might give me an award for squeezing out more from PRs and FTs, increasing revenue of public transport companies, and freeing up space on the road.

Original intention was to suggest differentiation between PR/foreigners and locals in terms of car ownership. Road congestion has really deteriorated over past few years, and even on Sunday mornings there are slowdowns and jams......

Some ideas include having PRs/foreigners paying 20% or 30% above final bid price of COE, and higher road tax. Why? - because cars takes up space, and space is what we do not have in Singapore. Doing this may control the demand-supply of COE, while making same or even more money out of existing quota (PAP should love this idea) that should be plough back into upgrading existing infrastructure to accomodate more people.....

Why do I suggest this - well, lets say that among my acquaintances, much more PRs and foreigners talents own cars compared to locals.....

Ok, maybe I have embellish certain statement, but firstly, you did concur on the TS opinion as well as the above quote where you first posted. Here you indicated the state of current roads, then you proposed to purnish PR/FT which points to you implicating PR/FT as the cause of the state of demise which you solidify it by stating that there were more PR/FT owning cars in your experience.
