Taking of the reins of a legend

All along I could only fervantly read about it in forums and gawk at pictures online. Cannot really afford its latest manifestation at the moment.

Moved over here and i took a chance asking after some used car dealers. After a month of scouting, Im finally taking over the reins of the the original Godzilla, an R32 GTR.

Its a dream come true for me and Im just here to share my joy with other car loving bros :D

My favourite is still the R34....

But congrats to u....do share ur pics!!!

[laugh]

sama sama. felt the R34 has more musculine lines, square jaw and the uneven tail lights are more agressive.

but i wouldn't mind a R32 lah... [blush]

i agree too on the r34! but a good condition 1 is kinda hard to find, most of the ones hanging around are the GTT or GTS i think.

This r32 i found is going at a really good price and the condition is pretty amazing for a 20 year old car.

The rims are tricked out too. Will post pics once I take over the keys! :)

But i am not in SG, the parts avail here for the r series are pretty strong, Japan is only a about an hour flight away too :D

Old cars are bound to have problems. I always factor in additional 10k in for things like radiators, turbos etc. Even an rb26dett here aint hard to source and comes relatively cheap. Planning on building a 800whp monster engine on the side to plant in when the current 1 goes [inlove][inlove][inlove]

Buying old cars are awesome without the stupid road tax loading on old cars , COE renewal and yearly veh inspections ;)

Keep it running as stock as possible - the GTR is a classic car that has been so often modified the really rare cars are the bog-standard ones, I suspect they will command more money come time to resell it also.

Wont do much stuff to it currently other than a few smattering of nismo parts.

Gonna do a full carbon fibre wrap of the dash first.

First to go are the stock ceramic turbos, not sure on their integrity after so long, dont want it disntegrating and blowing my engine up...

Congrats on your purchase. GOod chance to fulfil this dream. I have been telling myself that some day before moving back to SG I would like to own a R34 GTR in Hong Kong - hopefully that day will come for me within the next two years!
