Using Son_x. Just add a little in before filling up with water now and then.

So far it seems to give a cleaner feel and solves squeaking wipers problem when used.

Guess alkaline still works. Maybe one of these days I'll use my mum's glass cleaner.

I will only use additive so long as this bottle of Son-x last.

5 mls to 5L is the max for me.

So maybe I am looking at 1+ year to say bye bye to this bottle.

Yes it help to lubricate wiper.

Hi Icy..it is recommended not to use any chemical or shampoo mixed in reservoir..I would recommend use distilled water..grab 1 bottle from 7 eleven or any kiosk..

the reason..for all this chemical..once it is dry..some may leave etch marks on surface and especially nozzle is on the bonnet..The best is carry one glass cleaner in your car..do it externally..

bro,, how about mixed with 2 cap of glass cleaner?

I heard of people using glass cleaner to rid the surface of any polishing oil to inspect whether they really did polish the defects off. So I would think that if the glass cleaner touches the paint it would strip the wax/sealant/protection on the paint as well....or did you mean 2 caps of those windshield wiper fluid?

what i mean is... pour in 2 cap of glass cleaner, than mix with plain water till the reservoir is full

Let's do a bit of calculation here and forgive me if I'm a bit OCD.

Assuming its Megs Glass Cleaner Concentrate, recommended dilution is 10:1.

Assuming the reservoir can hold 5lit of water and 2 caps is 2oz = approx. 60ml. So what's in the reservoir would be around 100:1 dilution.

1. That's a pretty weak dilution for it to be effective in cleaning.

2. Class cleaner are suppose to be sprayed on and wiped off. You could get away with it on the windscreen, but there would be overspray/run-off on the paint and it *could* leave stain on the surface if not wiped.

3. Assuming that dilution can clean, it *could also* clean away the existing wax/protection on the paint on the oversprayed/ran-off area.

If you want to be sure, check the dilution ratio if you mixed it in the reservoir. Mix a little of it in a spray bottle or something and try spraying and leaving it on an inconspicuous area and see what happened.

A lot of assumptions up there but I would think you'd get the idea. Or take the easy way out - fill it with distilled water.

Must check whether the glass cleaner contains ammonia....household glass cleaners that contain ammonia are too strong for cars....might damage your paint

Plain water no lubrication and doesn't clear away dirt, especially when sometimes got some white specks stuck to the windscreen. With washer fluid, one spray and wipers stop squeaking.

I have been using SONAX Clear View 1:100.

Quite satisfied with it, after trying many products.

Autobacs had offer so bought this to try, so far so good, cleans quite well.
