Must water be boiled prior to consumption?

In SG, I drink water from the tap direct.

 

While visiting Spain/Portugal in 2014, we were advised to drink only water purchased from stores.

Even water from their taps boiled is no good.

 

How about when visiting Malaysia, do you guys gulp the water straight from the taps?

This article says it is OK.

If I recall correctly, the last time I went Malacca, there shelves for the lower cost bottled water were almost bare in the supermarket.

In M'sia is it not us who sell them the filtered water at high price and buy the cheap raw water from them? LoL...

In home, I sometimes drink water straight from tap, if I am lazy to boil when there is no water in the jug

By and large, I would rather boil water... even in Japan, when water is clean from tap.

If can't boil water, rather spend a few dollars more to buy mineral water.

Don't play play with such an important source of intake for our body survival :)

Fast forward almost 4 years, I went for some check-ups and discovered the following:

 

1. Kidney stones (since removed)

2. Liver failure (since replaced)

3. Heart problems (still waiting for a suitable heart for transplant)

 

At the same time, I have been fighting mindef for a 10mil claim for their lies and the harm caused by them tricking me into drinking tap water.

I believe the boiling could release some chlorine/flouride in the tap water, and kill any harmful bacteria contamination.

 

boiling tap water leads to concentration of flouride in the boiled water

 

 

This will concentrate the fluoride rather than reduce it.

Filtering is much important nowadays. If you realised yr washer begins to slow down the washing time, it's time you check the filter going to the washer,may see sediment blockage.
