Zyrofillica 1st Gear January 23, 2011 Share January 23, 2011 (edited) WTF? Are you sure the water in NS isn't boiled? I complained to my PC telling him I can only drink from my mineral bottles (brought in 2 cartons on the first day of BMT) but he told me not to worry because they boil all the water.... I think I need to go for some medical check ups now. Do you think I can claim from the army? u obviously been slacking in NS. never do water duty before. bring 20 jerry can to water point and fill them all up via the tap. if u can find a way to boil water for a company of soldiers, u shd become general [laugh] in fact i suspect they put much more chlorine in tekong's water supply. i had constant coughs over there, think my throat was sensitive to chlorine. Chrispie 5th Gear January 23, 2011 Share January 23, 2011 Hi all, My family has this habit of 1st boiling the tap water before consumption. Is this an outdated practice or there is a specific reason behind this? Contemplating to fill up water flask directly with tap water and chill it in the fridge. Please feedback. Thank you very much. Regards, my family: 1. Mum boil early in morning 2. Mum also use filter when lazy/too troublesome to boil 3. I drink directly from tap 4. My chilled water in fridge all tap water. But having read various articles, i think filtration is good. Can save energy from the boiling too. A lot of energy is needed to bring water to a boil. So if filtration system can save energy and make water 'better', why not?

Kusje Supersonic January 23, 2011 Share January 23, 2011 the truth abt bottled water > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPOaHKKQg3U Haha... Another video trying to counter misdirection and lies with more lies. "People are choosing to pocket the hundreds of thousands of dollars they would otherwise be wasting on bottled water". Do you know anyone who spends hundreds of thousands on bottled water? They can't possibly be talking about the entire industry because it is a multi-million dollar industry and not just hundreds of thousands. "Carrying bottled water is on it's way to being as cool as smoking while pregnant". Funny.

The way u explain is so cute.. save energy to boil.. ;p In the past before we install the water system.. we boil water straight from the tap without any filters, not even the basic of tying a cloth to the tap. Yes yes.. after we install the water system, we no nid boil water anymore.. unless my mother in law wanna make coffee.. ;p And my mother in law told me that to boil the water from the water system is faster than as compared to the normal water from the tap.. so in turn can save gas and electricity.. ;p Hv you install any water system at hm??? ;p
Camrysfa Turbocharged October 4, 2014 Share October 4, 2014 In SG, I drink water from the tap direct. While visiting Spain/Portugal in 2014, we were advised to drink only water purchased from stores. Even water from their taps boiled is no good. How about when visiting Malaysia, do you guys gulp the water straight from the taps? This article says it is OK. http://www.knowledgeofasia.com/malaysia-2/is-tap-water-safe-to-drink-in-malaysia/

Not a lot of people in MY would drink directly from the taps too.
