Sorry just needed to vent. I was thinking of getting an iphone and much as I didn't want to I had no choice as stocks at other operators were sold out. So I had no choice but to call them. I wanted to find out if they had stocks at Causeway Pt or AMKHub. Would u believe they said they can't divulge? I then asked if it was a marketing ploy so that queue's would form outside their shop before it opens and their audacious answer was YES. Unbelievable. So i told them to feedback that they have pissed one customer off who will NEVER, EVER subscribe to them EVER AGAIN. Thankfully I did not sign up for MIO or even their BB.

I was in M1 queue in causeway point earlier this evening and saw 5 iphone4 sold there.

your story reminded me that time I called courts to asked about stock availability in respond to a newspaper ad which says limited to X no of sets per store. The answer I got was like the one you got. "cannot tell over the phone, you go store to check"

This is known as "Marketing Strategies".

Creating hype is what iphone is all about, and Apple is very successful in this aspect.

Seriously, it's just a phone afterall, and 6 mths down the road, iphone 5 will come and the same cycle repeats.

I got my iPhone 4 last saturday from M1. I asked them is the stock just came in. They answered no. All the while they do have stock. So, I am puzzle why there is a generally "feeling" that iphone4 is out of stock.

because of the way ST handle the iphone issue.

for my case their system c--k up never send me an email informing me of details then end up i wait 1month+++ for nothing and they refuse to do anything to make up for their mistake

Speaking of FT come here taking our jobs but at least they pay incoming tax, Stinktel do it further by outsource job to oversea.

Why suppork them ?

Fark Stinktel, even they are not the first to outsource job to oversea, the local corporation should be keep the job for local.

Oh, learnt something today.

Giving jobs to FT oversea is "globalization"

Giving jobs to FT locally is "PAP Screw up Policy".

Go for M1 man. Wife and I (and many other friends) have been with them for over a decade. In fact, I've never been with any other telco since my first cell phone.

My 1st telco was M1 and I'm pretty happy with them.

However due to my ex-company introducing ST for coporate plans, I switched to ST.

As for my current company, my colleague was on M1 and signal strength is poor at some of our customers' sites. My boss "strongly advised" us to use ST as we have no such problem with ST. [:(]

Maybe when my contract with ST ends and I changed job, I might consider M1 again since number portability is not an issue anymore. [:p]

Few days ago, I called M1 too. They say their stores all have stock for the iphone 4 (at my time of calling).
