Cost cutting - Reduce to one pilot

That's just the autobrake system adjusting the amount of brake applications coupled with the reverse thrust so that it will slow down the aircraft sufficiently so that the PILOT can taxi off the runway at the appointed exit......Just in case u reading a different manual

they still term it auto-taxi anyways....

dude....

i don't play flight simulators....

here's the link....

http://744.hoppie.nl/forum.cgi/noframes/read/16553

though it's more of auto-braking and taxing off the run-way....

[laugh] [laugh]

you talked so much crap, trying to mislead everyone that A380 can auto taxi from the gate to the runway.

and then you just produce one link that shows that it's only for auto-braking and taxing off runway; shooting your foot along the way.

have you no shame?

anyway, my conversation with you ends here. no point talking to someone who plucks "facts" off the air and spouts nonsense.

anyways,

your 777 is gonna be replaced by the 787.....

though i must say,

the 777 is still a more comprehensive plane overall....

[wave]

Well its gonna be here for a lot longer as the 787 is not yet in production.....Haven't u heard of the delays bro?

yes yes....

it's been delayed for another 6months thanks to engine failure during one of the flight test???

any more delays,

ANA will be really pissed....

[furious]

Someday i hope google crashes so you will not spout nonsense from the internet here. Looks like you're not only a F1 driver, you're also an A380 pilot as well. Very multitalented. You should try interviewing for the role of james bond after you grad from high school. The govt sure loves you.

sour grape....

i'm not F1 driver neither A380 pilot....

stop [bigcry] k???

i forgive you....

no....

i have nothing against pilots....

but i can't help but wonder,

what are the technological progress in airplane engineering there for???

waste of money and resources???

and it's been statistically proven that 50% of air-crashes are caused by pilot error....

so if you remove the pilots,

you'd have reduced air-disasters by 50% leah....

[nod]

Selective use of statistics in this instance does not show the complete picture.

The technology exist for pilotless travel now. But these require instrument based flights.

As any engineer will know, instruments fail all the time and if you addin Murphy;s Law, it will fail at the worst of times.

The pilot is there to decide which instruments fail and should react accordingly.

You should find out the frequency of instrument failures and the subsequent number of times the pilot overrides those instruments to continue flying safely.

Please pay more to the maintenance tech. Even if the pilot is experienced, the maintenance tech screws the job and everyone is screwed.

Case in point. The crashes of the ATR72 because the technician put some part that belonged to the ATR42 into it.

yah....

technicians,

engineers and pilots compliment each other.....

they need each other to complete the whole system....

if either fails to do his job properly,

the plane may come crashing down, no matter how good the pilot is....

it actually all depends on how well trained the pilot is,

and his clarity of mind at the time of flying....

some pilots take flying of some joke,

where they can use the computer to play games???

or listen to music as they're flying....

[thumbsdown]
