So?..what's the morale off that piece of news? What it try too tell readers? There are tones of such story, ask any taxi uncle and they will tell... Many were big shot years ago before driving taxi... Perhaps that bankrupt loser who scratch people cars did better than this chap before...

I think he needs the money since he himself says he was seeking employment for around 2 years, without success.

I don't know abt him..but there are people out there who don't really need to work for money (not tat they r freaking rich, but they feel tat they have enuf to provide for their family n get by), however, after "retiring" for quite a while...they feel tat they are losing touch w society n juz want to get back to work in a more relax style...
