AA Membership

Hey Guys, is there any of you that are already a lifetime member with AA Singapore. I have been a member for the past 15 years an am looking forward to this 15th anniversary with them. Last I remembered when I first joined them in '97, there was these clause that said that If you are a member for 15 straight years your membership will be converted to the lifetime for free on the 15th year. This year they still send me a renewal notice again. Help!

maybe u shouldn't tinker with your tuning in the middle of a junction?

on the average i used emergency road side service of AA about 3-4 times a year over the past 20yrs or so.... flat battery in the morning, tyre puncture along busy expressway, towing (once form Kulai back to SGP), etc etc, on the whole, the membership fee was 'recovered' thru the use of these services

 

they also act as insurance broker to source the best deals for members

 

used to have a library full of car mags etc, but now closed down....

Haha...maybe the one that wrote the clause die Liao...so no one to honor that now..

AAS has done away with lifetime membership....maybe that's why. Bet there is a clause that say they have the right to change the term. I should have joined as a life member.....sigh...

I was their members for 5 years and due for renewal. Dont know whether to renew or not as I have received their renewal notice. So far never use their towing or battery service before.

 

Only got their helped once when I have problem with my ride in Malacca. However, waited 4 hours before they came but it was free.

You people are right I will repent and repent and repent. Sooo.. I will not renew my membership anymore. Afterall I only use their services only once or twice during these past 15 years. and if towing service is all that I need (by the way they only carry jumper cable and batteries for sale in their tow truck) most car insurance already include the free towing services. FYI if you think that the towing in West Malaysia is free, you better check it out again cause if I'm not mistaken you still have to pay for the services and AAs will reimbursed you only S$30 period. Dissapointed!

Their batteries more ex than shops. But then again, u are paying for convenience of them bringing the battery to u and change for u.

I have been their members for the last 10 years and I stopped this year.

Each time, I call them, have to wait like hell. I pay 40 bucks and I get almost instant services. Whats more, unless u drive a Lemon, AA is for u.
