STOMPer CannotBeLikeThatOneWhat couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the water collecting on Shenton Way at about 10.15am this morning outside the SGX Centre.

In his contribution:

"I could not believe my eyes when I saw that Shenton Way was under water this morning outside SGX.

"Could it have been caused by the new construction work next to Shenton House?"

STOMPer Jin Jialat also reports water collecting at North Bridge Road this morning. The heavy rain has turned the staircase at his house into a "waterfall".

"Super heavy downpour at North Bridge Road. I have been living here for over 20 yrs but this is the first time I see such flooding along my housing staircase."

Perhsap too many Ministers, MPs, GRCs, all malingering?

Floods are getting worst in China after the 3 Gorges Dam was constructed, could we be facing the same with our Central Barrage?

They must pray hard the dam would not break. I saw on the discovery channel that after the river was built, the upstream level of water raise about 100m. Imagine that amount of water coming down, all the downstream people can really hand ic early. Sometimes I think we humans really think we are good and try to play around with nature.

If I remember correctly someone actually mention before that our barrage was to protect the financial district area and not orchard and other areas??? Seems like its not protecting at all.
