Your cat's condition under control? If so, keep it just in case of relapse (touch wood). Dehydration will happen often during relapse and with your supplies, can quickly hydrate her/him first esp at night when your vet is closed. But take care of the expiry date. My cat also a renal failure cat since 2008.

This is the drip

Just thinking if no MCF member requires it, maybe you can contact CWS (http://www.catwelfare.org/contact) if any of their volunteers need it. Some of the community cats beign fostered have renal issues and hydration is certainly a pressing issue. Your donation of the Hartman solution will help defray some of their costs.

The CWS chairwoman, Veron ([email protected]), responds pretty quickly.

can't confirm until she leaves a poo. [:p]

will have to correct your misconception on this as i do not want this to perpetuate which might make more people dislike cats for all the wrong reasons.

cats are basically very clean animals. healthy cats of all ages (except the super young kittens) groom themselves daily and in the process, keep their fur clean. that is why cats do not typically emit any foul odour from their coat.

as part of their cleaning regime, they will defecate and urinate in areas away from where they rest, sleep and eat. defecation is typically done in sandy areas whereby they can cover their faeces after the job is done. this is hardwired into their dna. as such, it is unlikely that this cat will leave undesirable poop onto adrian's car as it is using it for R&R and also as a high vantage point to survey its territory.

OOT but related info: uneutered tom cats do sometimes spray urine as a way to mark territory (similar to the big cats) so that this is why neutering them bring about this benefit, besides a host of others. most cats will mark territory via scent marking using the oil glands from their side of their faces. so if a cat comes to you rubbing your legs with its cheek, it is telling other cats that it has "claimed" you.

Very good info.

I think and think and looked thru the videos.............. [idea] Realised the days I parked at the lots near the "outside", boot exposed to the weather, the cat did not come to my car. Only the days, where I parked at the "inside" lots, the cat came.

Good thing, because from what I know cat crap is like lao sai and very smelly.
