Weiming89 Neutral Newbie September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 Hi all, recently i was talking to a taxi uncle and he told me that though taxi companies protect their drivers, there are also some protection for passengers too. You can refuse to pay for the full fare if : 1. Driver is talking on the phone for more then half the journey. 2. Dangerous driving (speeding and weaving in & out of traffic). These are the 2 that he told me. I am not sure if it is true or how to justify this kinda actions. Just sharing with you guys. If it is wrong pls dun flame me and if it is true, i hope people don't abuse it....haha ↡ Advertisement

The way I see it....FT/Tourist are farking taxi driver left right center. And the police can't help either.

Talking or texting while driving is DANGEROUS because it diverts your attention away from the road. You are putting your customer's life at risk here. Want to talk wait till customer alight. Then no one will bother how long you talk on the phone.

If police deems it safe enough to be LEGAL, then i dun see a problem why pple refuse to pay for the LEGAL ride. Its like MOH say auntie dig her nose put in your rice is hygenic, i can accept! Ifx23686 Neutral Newbie September 7, 2010 Share September 7, 2010 its not fair to not pay the driver because of this. if anything, the passenger should warn driver first to stop and then change cab if he is stubborn.
