These car-like 2 wheelers are found right underneath your apartment. You take any one of them, punch in your destination and it will bring you to the nearest transportation terminal automatically. There you and your 2 wheelers will be grouped automatically with other 2 wheelers and be transported to your final destination. Regards, Exactly. That is what I have in mind, and what we need actually.

But these 'cars' are a lot smaller than our cars. So in theory take up less space.
Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 but izzit meant to be a replacement for cars, or public transport???
Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 if it's for cars, it'll take up more space.... cos if 1 person travelling, it's ok.... but what about going out as a family on weekends??? all 5-6 cars must be used leah....and that isn't a wise use of space.... same for public transport replacement too.... waste a lot of space.... jams will be much worse.... It's still classified as personal transportation, since it's individual. Just that the user doesn't actually have to do anything, except input destination. If family, then can go back to proper cars. Or can have special multi-person pods (like the Flyer cabin). I don't think every family go out on outings at the same time ya? Ben5266 Supercharged September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 Ask ourselves, why we prefer to drive over taking public transport? Answer: To Buy time. So, if we don't control car population and we let out road jam, where Tampines to Orchard takes 1.5hours to arrive, will you still drive? Ok, provided the mrt could take the extra load. So, just let the forces regulate itself.
Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 it's not really to buy time.... it's the convenience you see.... you don't have to walk to transfer buses/ MRT lines, or walk to your destination.... everytime you go shop for your groceries, don't have to carry or push around a trolley.... just lump it into your car's boot can already.... and you get your own personal space and privacy in the car.... Here, one small mistakes means million dollars salary gone leh....so all are yes men yes sir yes sir three bags full wayang kings. If every month reduce 5% of COE distribution till car population to 50% as of NOW the figure. IMO it will definitely ease up the road but will MIW do it for the good of the revenue???
