Sengnk Neutral Newbie September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 (edited) another thread to target OPC again, don't understand what is in their mind, why must target OPC? As if OPC car owner get their car or usage without paying and cause 'others' to red eyes. Why don't they suggest reduct normal plate car which cause most of the jam? SimonTan 2nd Gear September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 To reduce traffic? Are you paid millions to solve the solution? People are paid millions to solve the housing and road problems. If they can't do it will his million dollars salary, then what makes you so special? In fact they made it even worst. There is no solution!!! Look at Jakarta, China, Bangkok. There they are not worried about erections or salary, yet it cannot be solved. Here, one small mistakes means million dollars salary gone leh....so all are yes men yes sir yes sir three bags full wayang kings.

Tom's right. Reduce the amount that can be loaned for a vehicle, as well as shorten the period. What do you mean by "deftinely applied on the way to Johor"??? I think maybe they should switch all cars to OPC's as it means it will cost more to drive (for those that drive daily) as well
Krado Clutched September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 minimize the OPC number cause nowday whenever on the road out of 5 deftinely there will be 1 OPC car and deftinely applied on the way to Johor. So 1 OPC car takes up more road space than 4 Normal cars?

Increasing COE is still the most effective but unpleasant mean. Hit the problem at its source. If so expensive and difficult to buy, sure less buying desire. Hence, fewer newly registered cars on the road. Regards,

Ppl will still buy cars but maybe second hand cars... In other words, it doesn't mean it will be a good idea for increasing COE.... Note that More and more ppl are getting richer, they have more spending power... Thus if car is a "need" for them....They will still buy.
Watwheels Supersonic September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 Yah lor, ah goh say stop compraining lah. You either step out of your house/office early or you step out late. Jeffang Neutral Newbie September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 i will hope they will up the ERP to $15-$20 base on the time, and put up more ERP everywhere... those not too jam $5-$8... then that will cut down lot of car... and those who need to travel, pay more, and so no jam... will be nice... Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 if you reduce max loan to 70% and must downpay the rest in cash, sure, things will return to pre 2005 levels.... but our garment wants goods to be sold....aka cars.... but to drive on the road will be a costly affair.... garment seperate the buying and cost of driving.... so still must be able to take 100% loan.... then cars will still be able to sell.... or else how to boost the economy??? Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 what the gahmen should do is to up petrol duty tax, up parking, up everything to run a car.... so people still buy car, but park at home, becoming more obvious to be a status symbol.... Watwheels Supersonic September 6, 2010 Share September 6, 2010 The root of the problem is ppl gotto work/study all at the same damn timing. Even if you up the ERP and COE the problem will still persist simply becos the number of cars on the road now is already so many. Topic already discussed countless times and yet still got ppl such as TS coming up with the same useless suggestion. ↡ Advertisement
