Rehoming- A pair of ragdolls (Cats)

I have 2 ragdolls that requires rehoming. They are a pair of healthy 5.5yrs old bicolor (male) and blue mitted (female) ragdolls that have been together since they were kittens. They are spayed and litterbox trained.

At age 5yrs plus, they seemed to be semi retired. The female seems very contented lazing around, loves human contact whereas the male is more active, willing to roam around the house and can be spotted easily.

You will be screened before i allow any adoption. There will be no fees and their remaining food, litterbox and litter, treats and food containers will be given if you wish. Priority will be given to those whom can adopt them as a pair as they had been together since young and i wish they will not be seperated.

Would appreciate if you can ask around if any of your cat loving friends would like to adopt them.

Have a nice day.

Turbocharged

They must go as a pair since they have been together so long. Best for experienced cat owners with one cat around same age.

Too bad i can't adopt them. Too many to handle at home already.

Any particular reasons for the rehoming?

a very hard decision but it had to be made.

Not wanting to pry, but if it's with regards starting up a family amd it's concern about cats affecting human pregnancy, it can be managed and the cats can be screened.

Just FYI.

Hate the thought of having to part with such lovely companions that's been with you for such a long time... I've had my 3 cats for 4-5 yrs now so I can appreciate the attachment

Bro. You have two very lovely cats, you might want to reconsider your decision of rehomeing them off. I'd love to taker them off your hands, but I can't as I'm expecting my Maine Coon, in October, it would be a real waste, they are so beautiful. I'd think it would be like cutting a chunk of flesh off you for each of them, the pain of separation. What I can suggest is maybe on a TEMP basis, have someone sit them till whatever is it, blows over, then take them back.

Like all the bros here, our cats are not pets to us, but family members, and I believe these two are the same to you. *sigh* it really saddens me to see beautiful cats rehomed. Again Bro, if you need help, let us know, alternatives are there. Don't give up on them, they didn't on you.

I have a Ragdoll of my own. And he's a little devil, my boys all love him.

Once again, beautiful cats, and beautiful coat.

I hope TS finds a solution to keep his cats. They're really beautiful cats, well taken care of.

Can see the love he has put into their upkeep.

Yeah, that's my new boy, coming in from NZ. Pedigree show cat.

Kiat coming my place to HUG him when he arrives. [laugh]

Kiat, $35 per min per hug. [:p]

There is one and only one reason where one has to give up your pets.

That is when one had passed on.

Short of that, anyone who approaches anyone on such 'pets placement' need to have their moral values checked.

Call me old fashioned but I don't go to fashion shows.

What ppl do nowadays give a very clear reflections of their eroding values and this inturn gets passed on to their children, if they happen to have any.

I have always advocated that good values never changed over time but it is the humans who bend such values to suit their needs that have changed.

Which is why it is always so easy to assess another person, when the assesssing is done by one who has good human values.

Needless to say, there are not many of such good values ppl around nowadays.

really really no way to keep them?? alrady 5.5 yrs... they will be very sad if you are to let them go. I know you will be very upset, but do think of how the 2 babies will feel...

from experience, dogs' (i keep dogs) temperament change when they are given away. usually depressed, stressed for a long time to come.

Eyh, bro. give TS a break lah, not easy on him to come up to this decision either, but I'm hoping

also he will reconsider, and work out alternatives. [:)]

Yeah, bro. that is true, but also it can be a change if the pet was abused, as with one of my cat, from a multi cat family, and he was in such a bad state, under-fed, fleas, mites, gum problems, etc...

now, he's much happier then he was years ago. In TS issue, it will be different, his cats are so well taken care of, hard to say if rehomed, next owner will treat them as well as he does.

Like I said, my cats, die die, will never be rehomed, they're my family.
