It seems to be a norm that many commercial vehicles and private buses will have the headlights shining very high if not one side misaligned. They do so to irritate others drivers so as to make them get out of their way.

Using car curtain or those semi transparent sunshade at the rear windscreen will definately help.

Factory standard spec.

Have to pay more to get it removed. Mgf will not give a demn abt SG car mkt, as volume is very small.

So high beam stays.

I will agree on the misaligned headlamps.

Especially those uprated their bulbs and worst if one of them blown off, leaving the other low beam in 'super glaring & bright' [thumbsdown]

i found out that full high beam all the way is more effective in showing your presence to these road hoggers.. as compared to short flick of high beam..

of course after the fella give way, i will switch back to normal beam.. :D

Last night one muthafarking Wish was roadhogging lane 1. I gave one short flick of high beam. I will admit that I was following quite close, probably half a car's length. So eventually he gave way to me after 2 agonizing minutes, but came back into lane 1 with high beams blazing at me. I nearly came to a complete stop to ask the farker what he wanted. Farking no balls a-----e switched off his high beams and kept a distance away from me after that.

I simply don't understand, drive Wish big fark? Road hog nvm, but give way liao then come back with high beam? Looking for a fight? And doing all that sh1t with children in the car. Champion. I hope he tries that in bolehland on a souped up Wiralution or Wajalution and gets whacked really bad. Fark.

intelligent or not, i don't really care..as long as it gets the job done and i switch back to low beam once the person signal his intention to give way.. [;)]

anyway, i only use the above strategy if the following condition is fulfilled

1) Other methods have failed, ie, last resort

2) There are ample space in front of the fella

3) On expressways

4) Max 0.5 car length away from the fella's back bumper, so any effect to other cars are kept to a minimum. I know this is dangerous, but it's all a calculated risk..

i have a red laser pen in my car. once a fellow high beamed all the way behind me for a good 5 mins. think he did not realized.

I asked my wife to use the "laser" and shoot to at his boot near his lights. he slowed a bit and switched off his high beam. than he drive next to me and signaled the sorry sign, i showed him the finger of course. My thumbs up that is

Hope there is no collaterel damge.

[sunny] Or else the whole road will be high beam here and there. [sunny][sunny]

Like the NDP or YOG ceremonies.

i think this method is commonly used on NSHW by cars that are travelling at very high speed (<180kmh) during daytime..

I tried not to use high beam.

My car ride is higher. Already the normal low beam is auto focus HID, which is good enough for most driving condition.

The high beam is very bright and intimidating. Only used split seconds to shine totally dark NSHW, to check road far ahead.
