Thanks for sharing, I used to work at Samsung and had to make regular trips to Seoul. The korean made cars there are really well speced, and when the folks at Samsung get their annual bonus, the car sales team will camp outside samsung to make the sale. Most buy with cash, though parking is so expensive and limited, only the very top management will drive to work. Everyone else uses public transport. the trips to work will take 2 hours +. Many leave home at 5.30am, so that they can arrive on time.

 

So while it may seem that cars are so cheap in other countries, and we gripe about how expensive cars are here. cheap cars = overpopulation of cars = many other inherent problems.

 

As they say, the grass is always greener on the other side.. until you jump over and step on the s--t that has been hidden by the tall grass :)

U r so right... Owning a car in Seoul is no easy feat even if the car is cheap..

Indeed, K5 is the best seller in Korea. The price is about 30-33K SGD. With that pricing, I think I will get K5 instead.
