Am thinking of driving into Malaysia during school holidays

But it coincides with the Hari Raya holidays, so am worried about traffic at the causeway/2nd link

any guys with previous experience driving during Hari Raya itself?

Hari Raya is Friday , so how is traffic on:

1) Thursday (Eve of Hari Raya) - is there heavy traffic of people going to/from Malaysia to celebrate?

2) Friday (Hari Raya Public Holiday) - I guess it should be super jammed with locals going JB

3) Saturday (2nd day of Hari Raya) - is there many malaysian cars coming over Singapore to visit relatives?

also wondering will the Malaysian customs be very slow because all the Malay immigration officers on holiday?

all feedback will be appreciated

Not trying to be funny here. But if you drive in to Malaysia during weekends, be prepared for traffic jams, if long weekends, be prepared for even worse jams.

yup i know, thats why trying to plan the correct strategy

thinking of going day before Long Weekend (Thur), and come back on Sat - 1 day before Long weekend ends

but don't want plan to get screwed by unknowns like not enough immigration officers, many malaysians coming/going on eve (like CNY eve is jammed!) - things that I don't know, I want to find out

Friday & Sunday itself I know sure jam

Are you going to JB only or further up?

Pre and post Hari raya. NSHW is NSCP. Avoid if you can.

I think its best to avoid using the Causway and 2nd link for the Hari Raya Puasa holiday period, avoiding should start from 9 - 12 Sept.

Try to think it in line with Chinese New Year Holidays, same thing will happen for Hari Raya Puasa.

If u go on Thur (Hari Raya Eve) sure kena stuck like glue..Not only Muslims but Many other Sg'poreans on d way for holidays..The best is to go into JB is Hariraya MORNING itself...and back to Sg on next Thur or Fri..
