just to let you know that the distances are about 400 - 700m... toa payoh is about 400m away...

 

for my place in amk, i am 1200m away from amk mrt station.. it took me 15 minutes of stroll walk to reach the station...

 

I never tried walking those routes you mentioned earlier, my personal experience was a 15 mins fast walk to MRT, and I am considered a fast walker, guess the distance of my house to the MRT should be very far.

I go check map 1st.

it's 1.6km [laugh]

mmz... that's a good question... when i have my family with kids.. i will still be driving.. when they are all grown up, i might just give up on driving..

yup i think gahmen now trying v v hard to discourage pple from owning cars... so they do all the MRT n chut less COE. but we are v strange country, we juz love cars! why ar~

nothing beats the convenience of cars....

 

it gets you to your destination....

 

buses and trains on the other hand, requires you to transfer, walk here walk there,

 

wait here wait there....

 

aiyah....

 

sian....

IF next time, a thaiyota VIOS cost 100k, and altis cost 120k...

 

with pay as you use ERP, averaging 100-200 a month (there is simply no way to siam ERP anymore)... would u still want a car?

 

maybe petrol at $3?

 

 

why next time? don't tell people but I bot a corolla in 1996/97 for almost 120k! shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... :angry: [knife]:blink:[:(]
