Andrewtyr Neutral Newbie August 29, 2010 Share August 29, 2010 Jialat, I park my car outside shipyard while there is spray painting on the vessel nearby. Now my ride also got a new coat, tried claying but the windscreen still have paint specks. Thinking of using thinner as the solvent to clear it, will it harm the windscreen coating? ↡ Advertisement
5936 1st Gear August 29, 2010 Share August 29, 2010 (edited) Wow that's really double or triple jilat. Industrial grade marine paint That means maybe whole car also got it. Check if it feels like sand paper. For windscreen , I can only say dont use anything coarse, no sandpaper not even 3000 cn. But this type of paint is much stronger than household paint. I doubt kerosane, thinner etc can remove, as the paint had cured and hardened. Maybe, you really have to send to body car centre for help. My brother in law also got it from shipyard. Not even the earlier protection from Toughse_l help with protecting it. Edited August 29, 2010 by 5936

Just wait till paint is dry n hard then just use a razor blade to scrape it off. For e body, sud b more difficult. Maybe need to send to professional groomer? If u already got it off e paint, then

Go to those hardware shop selling shipyard's safety equipment. Like the few beside Sembawang Shopping Center or at Pioneer Circle. Tell them you want the 3M abrasive cloth to clean off sandblast/ paint from windscreen. Just put some water and wipe gently. DO NOT USE ON ANY OTHER SURFACES. KVR666 Neutral Newbie August 29, 2010 Share August 29, 2010 The last time I got paint spots on my windscreen, I used a claybar (took almost 45minutes to remove about 50%), followed by a glass cleaner/scrub. This is the product I always use.
5936 1st Gear August 29, 2010 Share August 29, 2010 This razor blade thing make me recalled that film installer used to prepare the surface. Including autosol as a glass compound. Take care with scrubs. Sure will get some swirlmark or hairline scratches in the process. so keep rotating cloth, or more water to rinse away the removed particles. oliver305 Neutral Newbie February 27, 2023 Share February 27, 2023 If the paint is oil-based, WD-40 can be used to remove it off glass windows or even the body of an automobile. After scraping the paint from the glass, lightly coat a cotton or microfiber cloth with WD-40. After that, clean the dried stain with it. To give the WD-40 time to break down the remaining paint, you should let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes.
JackMullen Neutral Newbie March 4, 2023 Share March 4, 2023 Hi! Removing paint specks from a car windshield can be a challenging task, but it is possible with the right tools and techniques. Here are some steps you can follow to remove paint specks from your windshield: Clean the windshield: Before attempting to remove the paint specks, make sure the windshield is clean and dry. Use a high-quality glass cleaner and a microfiber towel to remove any dirt, grime, or other debris from the surface of the windshield. Apply a clay bar: A clay bar is a soft, pliable material that can be used to remove contaminants from the surface of a car's paint. Apply a small amount of clay lubricant to the windshield and gently rub the clay bar over the surface of the windshield to remove any remaining dirt or debris. Use a detailing spray: Once the windshield is clean and free of debris, apply a detailing spray to the surface. This will help to loosen and dissolve the paint specks, making them easier to remove. Use a razor blade: Carefully scrape the paint specks off the windshield using a razor blade. Be sure to hold the blade at a low angle to avoid scratching the surface of the windshield. It is important to use a new and sharp razor blade to avoid damaging the windshield. Polish the windshield: Once the paint specks have been removed, use a high-quality glass polish to restore the clarity of the windshield. Apply a small amount of polish to the surface of the windshield and buff it with a clean, dry microfiber towel.
michaelwalton2249 Neutral Newbie August 31, 2023 Share August 31, 2023 To remove paint specks from a windscreen, start by washing the glass with soapy water and a microfiber cloth to loosen dirt. Use a plastic razor blade or a clay bar to gently scrape off the paint, keeping the surface wet. Avoid using metal blades to prevent scratches. Afterward, polish the area with a glass-specific polish to restore clarity. As for the "Baylen Levine Frick Vape Hoodie," I'm not aware of any information about this specific topic as of my last update in September 2021. Please provide more context if you need information related to it.
