Hi all,

Heard on the radio this morning that MINI brand is offering $688 monthly installment.

Anyone knows what is the catch if any?

Or anyone who has been to the showroom to enquire on this offer?

Thanks.

are there any requirements for this promotion to avail?

if you expect COE to raise crazily again after 1 year this car might just be a good buy

if the COE jumps by another 10k after 1 year, you will be able to sell this car at no loss but you earn that extra 5k

however if COE dips, then tough luck man!

As if other brands sell from list price.

Do you buy from list price without freebies or your so called free lunch ?

Geely or kerissa then you happy. Go ahead and be cool driving around.

Its really amusing to observe "luxury Brands" all offering these "I'm broke but please screw me harder in the ass" offers that everyone is scrambling to get themselves shitdeep into.

thats why got so many customers banging tables asking for freebies or complaining of things that are non existent just to get free stuff [laugh] [laugh]

Lifestyle car choosing people are not as price sensitive ma.

So the profit spread of the AD will not be a big influence in their decision.

"if you are concerned about trivial things like how much the AD earns, you are prolly not cool or rich enough for a mini"

I dont own a mini ah, its just a product positioning point of view :P

I like the way u put it across matter-of-factly. Mini is really a lifestyle car. The other 2 offhand I can think of would be the one from Fiat and Volkswagon Beetle (Bumblebee!) respectively. My perception of consumers in this category generally is:

1. they earn decent (not astronomical) income

2. they are quite nonchalant about how the world views them in the way that they dun have to drive BMWs, Mercs or even Lambos or Ferraris to show the world they have "arrived". Though personally, I would think that the entry level BMWs and the Mercs are still considered pretty mass market relative to the entry level Lambos and Ferraris so its something to be proud of if you are driving a merc or BMW, but not overly proud of.

An analogy to anyone who watches soccer would be Cristiano Ronaldo vs say Adebayor. Adebayor have reason to be proud that he is a very good footballer given that he is playing among the highest level but compared to Ronaldo, he is a few shades lower. So in my personal opinion, Ronaldo has the rights to brag and swagger (even though I don't like it too) because he is among the top few footballers in the world currently and he has the skills to match his showboating. But Adebayor?, if he tries to brag about being a top class forward, it would most likely be matched with a derisory expression of contempt.

3. they have pretty high confidence levels. (in the way they don't care about how the world views the car they are driving) It sounds pretty conflicting given that they bought a car that is indirectly giving a statement that "I m driving a lifestyle car" so perhaps they do think of what other people think.

Just my personal opinions.

Actually this sort of payment schemes only attract those who cant really afford it.

Not too different from some condo payment schemes.

Instalment should be from $688, based on the min loan required and have to be 10 yr loan.

If you take 90% loan for 10 years, no way it will be $688. Think $688 is for the min 50% or 60% loan.

There's always a catch for such advertisements....no free meals in this world.

Yep....really no free meals in the wind...
