hi bros,

i'm looking for some tips from the regular autoglym users... I just started on the resin and gloss protection. It seems like I need to use quite a generous application of those resin and gloss protection. Is that the same for you too?

Appreciate any helpful tips on these products.

Cheers.

just use abit will do. i'm using those cheapo wireless polisher, and i'll just use abt a 20c coin size portion for each panel. if u apply thinly, the srp is easy to buff off [;)]

not sure abt the extra gloss though, nvr try bef [:p]

wah bro.. 20c coin per panel... think i go find a polisher.... you mean like the electric buffer kind of thingy...

I use like 50c per rub.... I'll go circular.. swirl around a portion... then left right left right...

no wonder so siong.. LOL...

I saw the demo in youtube mah.... guess it's just a way to make us finish their products faster... [knife]

hi bro,

do you mean you apply thin layer of both the resin and gloss protection?

the resin is like a paste.. while the gloss protection is liquid... seems to evaporate or soak into my towel before I can apply properly...

hmmm.. think I try doing it again...

Thanks bro.

U can get meguire foam applicator. I use it for my polishing n application of wax. Got a few last yr as ntuc having sales.

guys, for those of you doing AG sealant, can you advise the steps and materials used? i would like to attempt DIY using AG sealant (is it SRP?)

eg.

1. wash car

2. using turtle pad, apply SRP 1st?

3. do one panel at a time, leave SPR on for 5 min and wipe straight....

.....

TIA!

hmmm, i used to do the following steps...

1. wash with shampoo and clay

2. apply srp on whole car..... then remove....cos by the time u apply and polish whole car, the SRP dry liao....

3. apply sealant and let it settle for about 30-45 min...

4. wipe off.....

SRP is to remove all dirt while sealant is to protect the paintwork.....

the trick is apply juz a thin amount, let it set for few min, wipe off. if u are getting powdery when wiping off, it means u apply too much. this is the same as spray painting. many thin layers will have better result than 1 thick layer. if wiping off is abit diff, try using QD. but if u apply a thin layer, it will come off easily.

Abt a month in local weather. Usually I will top up 476 after a polish. This can stretch to 8 to 10 weeks. In dec raining season, srp w no top up last abt 2 weeks max.

I always liked SRP since it is much easier to apply and buff off but the downside is that it doesn't last very long. At most 1-1.5 weeks?

function wise, it is really good. My car looks really shiny after using it
