E-Jazz Neutral Newbie August 23, 2010 Author Share August 23, 2010 (edited) Yoz.. better get coilcover too..as ur jass is extremely high from wheel to fender.. lower down ur car is for safety cornering.. Don't mind please enlighten me on this a little bit more. I tried google-ing before posting this question. Cause the results I get from searching is that the fender is the part that is along the door line towards the wheel at the side of the vehicle while the coil cover is an aluminium piece that covers the ignition coil system. Is it that important to cover that system? As for now, I don't really do high speed cornering, also told to get larger wheels for better cornering/turning control. Vextan 1st Gear August 23, 2010 Share August 23, 2010 I suggest u change the tyres. The tyre is crap on jazz. It's so weak and squishy. The same conering and style comparing my old ride vs jazz. The tyre was screeching and grooming at every traffic lights conerings turns! It's worst at those sharp left turns, with zebra crossing type, the entire rear end was squirmy and I can feel the tyres bending and suspension very soft kind of feeling. The wet carparks abs keeps activating and the car keeps moving forward, almost hit the wall few times. Farking scary driving my Honda jazz with it's original tyres! My wife begs me to change to a 16" and wider and better tyres ASAP! with due respect, the jazz 1.3 is really very sluggish in perormance already changing to a bigger rims doesnt help but worsen. Immotive 1st Gear August 23, 2010 Share August 23, 2010 When i got my jazz, it already clocked 60km of mileage, not sure if that is normal, but i'm sure nothing much i can do . . . I thought the run-in is less than 3.5k rev . . . gosh, i hit 3.x several times, hopefully it does not much harm. One question, I'm still below 1k and planning a trip up north, do you think i can do my service after my trip or i should do first while it still below 1k? 5936 1st Gear August 23, 2010 Share August 23, 2010 On the groomiing package, i suggest you think twice. Jazz not that big to handle yourself. Seen those swirl marks damaged by "professionals". Better DIY. not that difficult.

5936 1st Gear August 24, 2010 Share August 24, 2010 why shiny no good? People like to scretch shiny new cars, especially the black and red type. Or unique type. Example spoiler bigger than others.

E-Jazz Neutral Newbie September 1, 2010 Author Share September 1, 2010 ahah i osos considering Jazz! Fit got big difference over Jazz? When I was considering jazz or fit, my concern was over how smooth the ride will be. I prefer to drive smoothly and not speed. Talking about Automatic transmission below: So I got to know that Fit runs on CVT transmission while Jazz runs on 5spd auto transmission. Difference I guess is that they mentioned that fit is more smooth and does not have the minor "jerk" when gears are changing automatically. But when I test drive the automatic Jazz, I don't find any uncomfortable in it, in fact, given a 5spd auto transmission, its surprisingly smooth. Which is why I decided to get the Jazz. Furthermore, in maintenance wise, I can just send it to Kah motors. So don't have to go out and look for various workshops in comparison to fit. So those 2 are the factors in a way for me. Not sure about others.
E-Jazz Neutral Newbie September 5, 2010 Author Share September 5, 2010 Anyways, just to re-edit my previous post in this thread which I can't seem to find the edit button haha. Difference between 1.3 JAZZ 2009 LA and 1.3 LX (more expensive one) Both 5Speed Automatic Transmission. The cost difference you mentioned are due to 3 factors: - Leather Seats LX comes installed with leather seats. LA does not have so you only get fabric seats. If you want to have it in LA, you must add on $700.00 - Radio LX comes with Japan Factory installed radio - Meaning 5 year warranty. LA's radio is locally fitted after it reach SG. So its only local 1 year warranty. - Rims LX is japan factory fitted 16 inch sports rim. Makes the car look much larger due to increase height. Safety in cornering is better (subjected to driving style/preference) but may increase a slight bit of fuel consumption. LA is basic 15 inch rim. Lastly, LX model comes with boot tray (additional bonus) while LA model doesn't. Info accurate as of August/September 2010.

Redplanet Clutched September 5, 2010 Share September 5, 2010 great, your car will benefit from your meticulous care and enthusiasm.... hope you will be a car lover, not a "pt A to pt B, park & walk-off" kind of owner. Nothing irks me more than a bochup driver who does not care and knows nuts about cars.... must constantly learn and upgrade our knowledge....

Nothing irks me more than a bochup driver who does not care and knows nuts about cars.... must constantly learn and upgrade our knowledge.... heh =) Yeah, thats also one of the reason why I keep reading up on stuff in sgcarmart main page as well as the resources and forums. Intend not just only to drive but to ensure that the vehicle is well maintained on my part. A well maintain car in my opinion not only retains certain value when I intend to sell, it also means safer driving not just only for me but for other road users. It would also mean I will avoid most of the unnecessary car break downs that causes highway jams haha. So to reach the level where I know more, the forum would be one of the ways to gain more info from the experiences of all the seniors here. Thanks in advance. Cantonah Neutral Newbie September 5, 2010 Share September 5, 2010 Think all car-owners will be able to relate to u on the feeling and experiences we have on having our very first car But a car like our human body will deteriorate through long term usage and wear and tear I had my eyes on a Jazz when I'm getting a new car but later change to an Avante due to pricing. I was thinking of getting a cheaper car on the consideration that it will be subjected to my inexperienced and rough driving Just make sure u try to limit ur passengers to ur gf and family members Cos u will realise that many carless frens or relatives will tend to tonbang ur car whenever opportunity arises Enjoy ur new ride anyway cos u earned it ↡ Advertisement
