Watwheels Supersonic August 21, 2018 Share August 21, 2018 (edited) Thank you guys! Im using goodyear 205/45 16 . I follow the tyre pressure 350kpa max What you are doing is reducing the contact patch between the tire and tarmac. Good luck. See over inflation. Hamburger Hypersonic August 21, 2018 Share August 21, 2018 350kpa is normally used by van or lorry tyre for transporting goods.
Stevetp1 Clutched September 22, 2018 Share September 22, 2018 Hi all, just got my pre-owned Odyssey 2015. Is it ok to pump 270-280kpa on stock tyre since the ride is heavy. The recommended pressure on the side door seems to be on the Low side. Thanks in advance. Steve

So dun need worry about that ( unless got damage). Just dun pump too much. Will effect braking distance
Fitvip Supersonic September 22, 2018 Share September 22, 2018 Imho, just go with the recommended pressure. Too high will compromise comfort and road holding.

Later you will know if it is ok or not.

The dust (usually grey) on the tyre threads will give you a good indication if you are over or under pressure. Also, look at the date code on the tyres, see if need to change or not. Vratenza Supersonic September 23, 2018 Share September 23, 2018 Do you own a car? All cars comes with tire brands such as Goodyear, Michelin, Bridgestone, continental, Dunlop, westlake, hankook.... Look at your tire pressure sticker near your driver door frame. How much air to pump is based on tire or based on car ? Eg if car comes with 16" but we use 17" and there are almost no car brand tires like BMW or Toyota Vios etc....so very hard to like use the sticker at car door for ref ? ALTK Turbocharged September 23, 2018 Share September 23, 2018 Hahhahahhaa what a load of bulls**t!!!! They told me the recommendation of 230kpa in the manual is based on cold tires condition (aka without traveling prior to pump). If need to drive a distance to petrol kiosk under a hot day here...the tire pressure usually will increased for another 20~30kpa due to heat. So if pump under such hot tires condition 250~260kpa is recommended. In my case I’m quite comfortable with 250kpa. ↡ Advertisement
