Lester Neutral Newbie August 20, 2010 Share August 20, 2010 Hi all I have got a 2 din head unit from China and it has DVB-T built in. However, I am unable to get any channels after scanning. What am I missing? What is the frequency that I need to scan to? What is the Start and End Frequency? What is the Bandwidth to use (6M, 7M or 8M)? The Hardware version is DVR-TV1.1, Software Version is Sunplus_Box_TV1.20, F/W version 432_032_136_1023_290, Checksum 213794f2, Build date: 23/11/09. Any advise? Thank you. ↡ Advertisement
Versatile 1st Gear August 20, 2010 Share August 20, 2010 aiyo bro, got DVB-T built in doesn't mean you will have all access to all channels. it depends on your location as well. one reason why i don't trust DVB-T is because it is that suck. i bought 1 DVB-T years back and i tell myself i will never got for such reciever UNLESS your location is extremely well in receiving channels by DVB-T. I'm receiving these signals on my carpc via a dvb-t usb stick. So, the channels are still there. Try to search for the channels at the frequency range. What i know is i can't receive in kallang/geylang area. In bukit panjang, signal strength is pretty good.
Dragonqcm Neutral Newbie September 21, 2010 Share September 21, 2010 To seek compensation from an well establish retail and wholesale distributor of ICE in Paya Ubi? Bought some items as well as installation of the new and existing ICE from previous car to the current car. The installer screwed up the power connection of my existing Nera DVB-T resulted a power looped back to the amplifier thus drained up 2 car bat. Went back to compliant twice but no action taken or border to check the whole circuit and installer keep stressed his years of experience blur blur ... At the end get another installer to trouble shoot and discovered the mistake. This was even verified by the local Nera Distributor Netlynx Technology which confirmed the mistake. So frustrated as the tuner has used in 2 of previous car nothing had happend. Planned to claim compensation on the replacement of 2 car bat, installation refund and the trouble to send my car to 3 workshops for fault finding inspection (cos initially tot it was engine or mechanism fault). Anakin Clutched October 27, 2010 Share October 27, 2010 digital tv is bad enough in hdb flats, let alone a moving car. i wouldn't recommend it for cars. might be useful if it is used when car is stationary, but also have to depend on location & antenna used. so then, why bother if it is so much trouble? might as well pop in a dvd n watch while waiting at a location. Cirruslogic Clutched November 27, 2010 Share November 27, 2010 Singapore is the first in the world to implement DVB-T MPEG4 AVC H.264 We do not use DVB-T MPEG2 like some countries in Europe do. Recently some popular HDTV models started embedding this processor chip in their circuits so you don't have to get a stand alone tuner. http://www.sony.lv/product/t32-ex-series/k...=TechnicalSpecs
