Hey mate,

How's ur car going? I'm leaving Sydney for sg soon and will be leaving the car till the end of feb next year when I'm back.

Cheers

Hey. I just got home from the track for the annual Skyline Queensland Charity Cruise. I'll link some photos when they post them... hahaha.

You can drive it to Brisbane and leave it with me next time. More secure [;)]

I'm thinking of organizing a road trip winter next year from Brisbane to Melb... Hopefully we'll get enough interest.

I just scratched the side of the car but dont really care now anyway. So long as it runs well I'm happy liao. I'll probably be going for the 2nd time attack session next year in March.

Good to know that you went for a cruise with the club.. must have been fun cruising all day long. I browsed through the pictures.. very nice sight of all the godzillas together.

There's still no RX7 activities here in NSW even though the FD community is quite big. Would like to meet those peeps and it will surely be cool to do a group shoot together.

Thanks for the offer dude.. I find it crazy to drive to Brisbane in an FD.. if I'm not wrong the drive is like 12 hours? My car will be under a car cover in the basement of the apartment and the security is decent so I find it pretty safe unless some bugger come to mess things up, lol.

How did you scratch the side of the car? I gutter rashed my rims twice 1 week lol. Repaired it and gutter rashed it again a few days later as I was distracted by the music.

I like your carbon wing insert, I have mine in the same style too :)

Yea this year cruise is better than the ones before. We went to Clear Mountain before heading to the track. The view up there is magnificent.

You're in Sydney are you?? Its like less than 1000km from Brisbane I think. 10-12hrs depending on how you drive? Seriously its only 1 way which is gonna be "torturing" and the other will be multiple stopby. My plan is I can drive down and spend 1 or 2 day in Sydney then drive back up with 1 or 2 night stopping over in a nice beach town or in-land town for sight seeing. Hunter Valley's probably a good idea. Anyway its just an initial thought. My wife's not too keen to go to Melb though because thats another 10hrs...

I scratched it on my mailbox! Very dumb of me but what done is done.

I found gutter rashing is easily avoided if you try not to park so close to the kerb. We tend to try and park as close as possible to the kerb but really, you dont have to. That way you can save yourself the trouble of rashing it again.

Hey mate,

Yea I'm in Sydney. Maybe you're right that 1 way is torturous.. Multiple stops are much better. If you're a wine lover Hunter Valley is definitely a good idea.. If not you can head up to Blue Mountains if you're up for some scenic views.

The way I gutter rashed my rims is quite c0ck also and it happened both on the same side of the wheel. The first time I tried to parallel park close to the kerb the singaporean way.. Second time I just woke up and scraped the rim abit while going down the ramp of the basement.. didn't pay attention to where I was going. You're damn right that we don't really have to park near to the kerb.. It's only in sg that people like to park close to the kerbs.. lol. Those aussies don't even give a damn man and some park like half a feet out of it. Some roads are really bad with cracks and pits by the kerb and you will surely get into big trouble if you park near it..

Anyway heading back to sg in 12 hours. Got my car cleaned up, battery disconnected and covered up.

:D

Will be taking the increasingly congested public transport or driving my dad's car.. will definitely miss my car :(

Have a good week

Enjoy your holiday dude. I'm sure you will miss driving your car and the traffic here. I normally take public transport when I'm back in SG too and maybe drive at night when going out for supper. Seriously you dont need a car during the day in SG.

Yea Blue Mountain is another location too. My wife and I've been to Jenolan cave a couple of years ago and she love the drive there.
