Bro,the centipede must have crawl out from the Gully Trap.I knew it cause I'm working as a Pest Control Technician. It can't survive by crawling from the Toilet bowl.Get yourself a can of "Baygon",Lift up the Gully Trap cover and spray inside the Gully Trap. After that, cover the Gully trap with a "Musking Tape".Leave it covered over nite.Next morning you can remove the Tape. You can repeat it @ night for better result... [thumbsup]

Better than this ...

小强大暴走

OMG! If i was there i'd be running away screaming!!! [dead]

This one is not so bad, would be quite a fun exercise to try to kill as many as possible either by stepping or smacking them with some object!

I remember one incident when I just passed the pest control course and tagged along with a friend's company to gain experience... upon fogging the rubbish shoot, the cockroaches literally fell down like rain and then scattered all over the place. Had I not been scared of insects I would have fainted on the spot [laugh]

What I said is true fact. And I also swear you never been biten by centipede before and I have been biten by it umpteen times (during sleeping when I am off guard) and they are not small centipedes, at least 15cm size one lor, now you know why I said the pain is awesome right?

I had a similar incident of 2-3 inch long centipede found in one of my place toilet bowls. In fact, this is the 3rd to 4th time over the course of 8yrs living there. Always the same toilet bowl.

My place is a 4th/top floor apartment.

I did read up about it, seem like the only plausible explanation is that it comes from the sewage through the u-pipe/gully. Once it enters the smooth toilet bowl... There is no way it can climb out of it....

Anyone have similar experience to share or alternative explanation?

Not common to find centipede in the toilet now. Only when the building is very old maybe might find them. If centipede appeared inside your toilet, would it be dangerous to use the toilet bowl?

i have millipede on my toilet floor before, and i stay on 10th floor. I quite suspect it came from the gully for the basin, and not the toilet bowl sewage pipe.

Also, when i first moved in about 8 yr ago, there was a period of maybe 1-2 wks, when there were quite a number of millepedes found on the ground floor lift lobby. It leads out to some landscape area where there's soil + grass. Basement level lift lobby didn't have. But this phenomenon only recurred once more over the years.
