The boys effort shamed the torch bearers(e.g. joanna peh??) who only ran about 100m each..

I think the reason why the torch is passed at 100m intervals is because too many people want the opportunity to carry the torch and thus it has to be shared around.

When I read about this boy in the papers today....I tot of him as our version of Forrest Gump; innocent, single minded, etc....

Call his school principal lah.

Another motivation for him and the whole school.

Most likely the principal will ask him why never wear school PT attire.. could have generate some publicity for the school [:p]

Someone should write to ST to have the YOG organiser to schedule him to run one of the leg in the torch rally. Or have him appear on stage in the YOG opening. This is what passion in sport is all about.

this is worth more than $387mill spent on the event alone. $ can buy talent, but it cant buy passion.

This boy did something the ministers, high level committees and $$$ spent cannot do.......winning praises

precisely....

one notable negative impression from YOG is the torch relay....

make so much noise pollution (thanks to traffic horns, blasting of different music from different buses, police sounding the siren, etc....)

brought a sudden disturbance to my neighbourhood nia....

Like that a bit commercial lah?

isn't school recruitment like that now? I have been seeing banners put up along the fence of school telling others what their top students have scored

So how now.

So good true story.

I think they may print those huge banners with 2 images of him. One the YOG photo, another in school uniform.
