Keithhiap 1st Gear August 8, 2010 Share August 8, 2010 Hi all, During this few days, when i turn my car engine, immediately, my car engine shut down. Turbo timer did not kick in. Turbo timer still counting down, and my car dashboard almost all the icons is lighted up. 1. I suspect Turbo timer faulty liao, cannot hold the engine idling till count down ended. 2. I suspect battery going to flat liao, but i dont have problem starting my car, which i doubt so. Anyone encounter this before? Thanks for reading Rgds ↡ Advertisement
C-K 2nd Gear August 8, 2010 Share August 8, 2010 (edited) I got the same problem with my cheapo timer from china. To walk around the problem, I simply rev up the engine to 1 to 1.2k rpm, hold it there for 1 sec and switch off the ignition. It works everytime. It seems there's not enough power supply in the timer. Edited August 8, 2010 by C-K
Rickster86 Neutral Newbie August 8, 2010 Share August 8, 2010 Its common for what you had mentioned to happen. It occurs occasionally with the exact scenario like you. Nothing to worry about.
Hoytusa84 1st Gear February 21, 2011 Share February 21, 2011 Well, this is an old thread but I am facing the same problem til I got a wire expert to solve it for me at midview building. He added a relay and another wire to boost up the timer module to par with the car ignition and now switch off the car key with engine running smoothly without cut out, stalling or stop and restart... Can you please tell me how this was done? Any pictures? It would be MUCH appreciated. I am having similar problem when I shut the Car off it seems as though it is going to die then cuts back in and runs fine. I have spent hours trying to figure it out. Thanks in advance for any help! Hoytusa84 1st Gear March 12, 2011 Share March 12, 2011 Yes caucasain. Any idea about what to do yet? "add a relay to enhance ignition timing" doesn't explain enough for me. Thanks! Hey dude that mechanic wasn't around these week when I tried to contact him. He'll be back in few days time and I'll tell you the details ya? Important thing is to add a relay to the timer module which is like the piece of thing with all the wires connected to it. Tell this to your mech and he'll figure out. If not I'll tell you the exact thing ASAP! ↡ Advertisement
