Soran 1st Gear August 8, 2010 Share August 8, 2010 (edited) I was driving to work just now and was in a hurry. Now, my estate has only one entry point from the main road and I was turning out via that. Just then a whole convoy of YOG buses come along and take up the main road on one side. Never mind, I'll just turn out. one of the buses puts itself right smack in the yellow box at the entry point so no one can leave my estate nor can anyone drive in. After stopping, the then proceed to just SIT THERE FOR A WHOLE FARKING 15 MINUTES, with their passengers blowing vuvuzelas and the buses playing stupidly offkey music. Their police escorts just signaled me to stop and not move. I leaned my head forward and gave the retarded reveillers a wave, which I then turned into a one-finger salute the moment their police escort's back was turned towards me. I only managed to move off after the buses went on further down the road to harass other people And this is why I hate the YOG.... Soran 1st Gear August 8, 2010 Author Share August 8, 2010 No use. Now that i remember, they werent even proper police, it's those stupid rent-a-cops from Cisco Certis. Keep waving me to stop and not move while the stupid bus parked its ass in the yellow box. Everyone else behind me was horning away (it's also one of those blind corners where cars which are some distance behind me cant really see what is holding up traffic at the junction) If this was their retarded attempt to drum up support for YOG from the populace i'll say it failed spectacularly. My opinion of YOG has plunged from "dont care" to "i wanna feed the organisers to 10,000 hungry piranhas"....
Ichibawa 5th Gear August 8, 2010 Share August 8, 2010 Just now there was hell lot of commotion outside which I later found out that the YOG torch is going to pass through Simei and apparently the drivers that pass through this evening wasn't too please about the whole event. Police blockade, buses and cars blocking the road and very soon a very long queue was formed. There there are 2 open top double decker buses blasting different music each but they are driving so close to each other, music turn into some rojak thats quite annoying. I was waiting for the torch bearer to run into Simei St 1 from the main junction but I couldn't see him/her coming from anywhere. Then the whole row of YOG motorcade stopped and in approx 100m from the big open field next to Eastpoint, a young chap alighted from this YOG lorry with a group of boys started running with the torch. I was like "WTF??!! Shouldn't you be running all the way from point A to point B before passing the flame to the next bearer and not hitching a ride from a truck? Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear August 8, 2010 Share August 8, 2010 precisely.... just ytd (Saturday), i was along YCK road (near to Yio Chu Kang MRT that road), where the motorcade were.... at the traffic junction, there was just one Cisco police officer, standing right smack at the centre divider, and the first cars didn't dare to go, despite clearly the motorcade for YOG being still quite some distance away.... Singaporeans seem to be fearful of everything.... darn them man....

I think they are doing a fantastic job, and working sat, sun and public holiday somemore. At least the YOG people are doing something more productive than the ranters here who just keep complaining about the small inconvenience that they had to endure once in their sedantary lives. Causing traffic jams? Running around screaming the bloody heads off. Wayanging for the PAP? Which of these activities is the productive thing here? ↡ Advertisement
