actually i more interested to know do we need to pay if we clash to lamppost and trees and caused damages ?

u hit lamppost or tree, u are the one who did it. so u have to pay.

lamppost or tree fall on u, gov did not do it, they only planted the tree/lamppost, they did not push them down on you. if they can prove that necessary maintenance was done properly, and tree/lamppost still falls, then god did it...

Last time one friend crashed into lamp post, the top part dropped down and damaged.

Gov did not send any letter to friend for the money.

Not too sure gov got ask insurance pay or not, as there is no communication with insurance co. The car was repaired by workshop and claims handled by workshop.

One week later a brand new lampost was replaced by gov.
