Just to share something about Orchard area. It was once an area for plantation because of it low lying area. So if u r wondering why Orchard area, pershaps history can reveal abit of the present.

I think in future when it is raining, we should get all passengers in the car to wear helmet!

my dad told me that in 1969 when he was in ns, orchard road flooded

 

the boss sent 3 tonners towing assaut boats

 

he and his team whole day row row row your boat, saving someone's arse mery mery merry merry what a rainy day

 

then after the flood, the boss fall in many people to clear drains.

yes. my father say, ever since the big drainage is build 20 years ago. this problem disappear liao.

 

And when it comeback, how come no one mention it.
