Need some advise as I was thinking of changing my existing number plate to a vintage number like SW7*5C. The total amount to be incurred will be $5000.00 for the number and $1300.00 for LTA. Very tempted to have it done as it

you sure you got the number plate right cos SW7*5 would not end up with a C. see below:

agree! if SW means nothing to you and the no. is not really nice, you are better off spending 6.3k on the new SK* series and get something that's "swee" and/or meaningful to you.
