Kiadaw 6th Gear July 23, 2010 Share July 23, 2010 Setting the air con lower temperature doesn't mean it gets cooler faster. Just saying. I usually set to 25.5 & leave it there. Save fuel ( & hence money) lah. If not I will set to 20 deg. Just nice for me.
Wiltanws Neutral Newbie July 23, 2010 Share July 23, 2010 I set at 25 degrees all the time. Only adjusting to higher fan speed on hot day.

GoodCar 4th Gear July 23, 2010 Share July 23, 2010 (edited) Temperature setting should depend on the outdoor temperature and humidity. The idea is to feel comfortable. (ideal temperatrure for human is 24 degree celsius and 40 to 60 % humidity). Too much temperature/humidity different between in door and out door is bad for the body Singapore outside temperature/ humidity average is 30 degree/ 90% humidity during the day. Reducing the humidity indoor play a big part in Singapore context for body comfort. My setting: Day time: 25 to 26 degree night time: 23 to 24 degree (becasue nite time ourside temperature is lower, if set temp equal outside temp, compressor will stop running and humidity will go up in the room) Just my 2 cents worth. Hamburger Hypersonic July 23, 2010 Share July 23, 2010 be it 25deg or 18 deg, e compressor work juz as hard as it cut itself off at a preset deg from e factory. Wif tis understanding, i don c e pt of setting it any higher than 18deg. setting it at 25deg, e system simply mix hot air wif cold air to give u tat 25deg. ↡ Advertisement
