7) Even if have to ballot, still have a chance - so register multiple schools to give the best chance possible.

sorry. we can only register 1 school. If the chance is too low, we may deregister from the 1st school and register at another school. Think there is no limit on how many times we may deregister.

Good luck to all of us!

Of course. Very the sure.

If everyone goes to tickam tickam 2 schools and both also got, then how? Go both school huh? :D

Have you registered today?

Then, tomorrow, call up your target school to check the status. If ballot is required, you might want to call up your 2nd choice school. If still have vacancy, and you don't mind it is 2nd choice, you might want to play safe. But, need to rush to the first school to remove your registration first before you can go to second school.

I will be doing this tomorrow. [:(]

But my first choice and 2nd choice and even 3rd choice are all popular school.

Ok, this is call kiasu!

Some proper thoughts for TS

1) going to an all boys school cannot "turn" someone gay - teh gay is not something that you catch

2) I am assuming you are an old boy of St Gabs? If so you have already missed the registration cut-off for phase 2A so this discussion is academic (I am registering my kid for P1 tomorrow)

3) There are many studies that I have seen that "prove" that boys perform better (academically you pervs) in a single sex environment (this is from New Zealand though, I doubt that comprehensive studies have been done in SG)

4) There are mixed thoughts on the social side of the coin

5) Do bear in mind the affiliated secondary school.

6) Remember the travelling distance when selecting a school

7) Even if have to ballot, still have a chance - so register multiple schools to give the best chance possible.

As a side note, I will be sending my kid to Mee Toh - fingers crossed that get in

heard mee toh [thumbsup] ..... and i also plan to send my son there but i stay too far from it....easily more than 2km or maybe 3km..

btw, just to share, recently, to be more precise, few mths back, my SIL went there to help out (i dont know why since all her 3 daughters study in rivervale primary@sk) ..while distributing the result or papers, she notice the scoring of their test paper is damn low... 60-70 region... normally, in primary level, public norm is anything below 80 is very low.....

my sil damn panic... for such phenomenon to happen, there's only 2 possibilities... either mee toh std too high or their students standard too low but with mee toh being a reputable "good" school, she beginning to worry rivervale pri std too low... she is currently searching high and low for mee toh's exam/test paper... [laugh] but hey, rivervale pri aslo a good pri in sk.... [:p]

Go for a mixed school. Give your child a chance to go into a relationship early to gain "sexperience" and to promote yourself to the rank of grandparent! [:p]

Ummmm, we should ban single sex school and go for mix only.. Will definitely help with birth rate....hehehe
