Driver killed when tree falls during downpour

SINGAPORE: A driver was killed when a tree fell and hit the car he was in during heavy rain Tuesday afternoon at the junction of Thomson Hill Drive and Yio Chu Kang Rd.

 

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the victim was pronounced dead when its personnel arrived at about 2.50pm.

 

The SCDF said the car was badly damaged.

 

Rescuers took about 20 minutes to remove his body, using two hydraulic spreader cutters. - CNA/jm

If I get into an "accident" and it involves damaging a tree, I think I need to compensate nea right?

 

So if a tree get into an "accident" with me or my car, I should technically be compensated one way or another Yes?

Is it the tree fell or branches fell? For a tree to fall not easy, has case of car ram tree & still standing

so they say they are going pay more attention to the trees...now...yes....probably they will say it is one of freak accident...and we can't expect trees not to fall....but if i am the one taking care of the trees....they will tell me they do not expect any fallen trees.... this period only to show how weak we are in handling natural disasters...one day if weather change and typhoon come....I think we can say goodbye to everything liao...

Falling trees are really due to act of nature. Nah i am sorry but u really dont have a valid case to pile against the who.
