Xtravagant Clutched July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 Liverpool have completed the signing of midfielder Joe Cole on a four-year deal following his release by Chelsea. The 28-year-old England international left Stamford Bridge in June after failing to agree a new contract with the Premier League champions. Cole, who was also linked with Arsenal and Tottenham, will undergo a medical in the next 48 hours. More to follow. Source: BBC Welcome to Anfield Joe!! Damienic 5th Gear July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 Chelsea is crazy. Exchange a younger player for an older player and still incur additional expense of 6mil.

Xtravagant Clutched July 19, 2010 Author Share July 19, 2010 Chelsea is crazy. Exchange a younger player for an older player and still incur additional expense of 6mil. 6million is peanuts for a club like Chelsea. . . [laugh] anyway Yossi still can play at the top level but comparing both players, I think Joe Cole is better technically, and considering he came for free. . . thats pretty good business by RH. . . now the hunt for Left back. . . WTF 4th Gear July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 Compare JC to YB, JC is more skilfull than YB. Opposing defenders are more likely to be drawn towards JC than YB and that could be good for the boys upfront. Anyway, a good signing considering it's free! Icu 6th Gear July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 sell Gerald and Torres.... that should get more funding. Reds should stop focusing on the 2-man strategy and play more as a team. The former approach is too predictable; just mark these two and game over.
Tarzan666 2nd Gear July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 Wonder how much Cole is paid a week? He won't agree to come to a 7th place team for pittance 1.

The former approach is too predictable; just mark these two and game over. That's where JC would be good for LFC. JC are able to lessen the load on SG and FT by drawing away defenders. RH should sell some of the useless players to get $$$ for potential transfers. At least can also let some of the academy players a chance.
Kopites Supersonic July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 I only have one concern here. Will he buddy up with torres in the sick bay more than on the field ? If he can at least play 50% of this coming season matches than i would say Otherwise 90k for another sick bay attendee !
