Do you feel the need to compare all types of things from cars, housing, jobs, salary, girlfriend, results etc?

 

Is comparing good or bad? On one hand, maybe it motivates people to improve. On the other hand, it creates pointless stress.

 

For my case, i like to compare with myself how well i fare this yr and last yr. It help me to improve and give me feedback. By comparing with others is useless coz every single person r born in different family background, how to compete and compare in such an uneven playing ground? Its nv gg to be a fair comparison.

Comparing price before buying is OK. I mean comparing between people.

 

For eg, if your neighbour change conti car every 2-3 years, every year can go holiday to some exotic place, will you feel a little green eyes or not?

Honestly, i am beyond comparing as it does me no good. Just be contented with what you have and not bcos you want to get what your neighbor wants. Set your own targets and ideals and go for them, not bcos throttle2 has them and you need to be like him.....he is in a diff league altogether

yeah but it's easier said than done. we are in a rat race after all. there are only so many places in the university, only a handful of higher position in a company , and resources are limited, so we cant help but to benchmark and then strive for higher. thats where comparison comes in.

if comparing is to better your QOL and to return back to society after you have gained, then the comparison has reaped it's returns ...but for a mother cb to compare and then after than look down and condescend like 'low class forum'...then i say you are the scum of the earth and the system will take care of you....

 

back where i work, i know my mission is for the sake of spreading education and good values...others here want to sarkar and get that promotion, bonus etc, and with loss in values altogether..... to them i say 'fugu'

for me its a no..how abt u? after comparing and knowing that u cannot change cars like ur neighbour and cannot go holidays, what will u do? just plain jealous? or u strive to do better?

 

the real crux of comparing is "what can u do abt it?" can u make urself excel and better urself? or just blame everyone for not being able to get all these material things?

it should not turn into a game where you go for blood to be better than the neighbor......really

ya i know u tennis..thats why i like soccer..play FM or CM or Fifa not bad..teach think passion cannot compare with reality..lol

 

overall, compare here n there i feel is pointless..end of the day we dont know how much pple sweat etc to reach that level..so to start of..it's own barrier to overall to work instead..pple said big car big house..but they never said the hardwork etc they put in...they show the fruits..not what the sow...

 

so..end of the day...compare how u sow then is better..hahaha..the amount of hardwork etc?so it's fairer..LOL
