Karebu 1st Gear July 15, 2010 Share July 15, 2010 (edited) Wah that's very old sch.. I used filter when I was using CRTs over decade ago Why make specs when u can get a huge glass filter hanging in front of computer? Like that everyone can share. I believe opticians can get for you if you ask. Looks like dark tinted glass that's all loh. Looks abit c--k wearing indoor Edited July 15, 2010 by Karebu
Hermit 1st Gear July 15, 2010 Share July 15, 2010 i beg to differ.. those lens are not dark tinted.. When you hold it against the light, you can see the multi coat of colours on the lens.. least, that is what I'm doing now.. Just for the record, I'm 6/6 and has been 'staring' at software codes for the past 10yrs..

Hosaybo 6th Gear July 16, 2010 Author Share July 16, 2010 Don't think such lens are tinted..... they are simply coated with anti-reflective lens. why spec.... I think is becos you can use it on any computer, home or work to reduce the fatigue on eyes. I just want to know if anyone uses such specs and is it really effective. Donut Supercharged July 16, 2010 Share July 16, 2010 yeah, there are such lens. some of my colleagues are using i think its not about the dark tinted. one colleague's lens is abit dark tinted, while another colleague's lens is clear transparent. But both are meant for computer use. Both colleagues only use the specs when they are using the computer. i believe its the coatings on the lens that is more important. actually i kind of like the slight dark tinted.... it's cool!! Not referring to the prescription type but those that are meant for people with normal 6/6 eyesight. I think buying a little lamp, raising the monitor to eye level instead of table level adjusting the brightness to a comfortable level is cheaper than buying "special" computer eyewear. -A guy who stares at a computer from 9 to 5. The purpose is to polarize the lights from CRT so that the eyes are less tired.
